5 Habits that Will Help Your Abs

Eat Healthy
-Your body needs it’s Vitamins & Nutrition’s to sustain good bodily function. Keeping your body fully nourished will prevent you from any eating disorders that may occur in your life if you aren’t careful.
Proteins, Fibers are a few necessities to keep your abs and help control your eating.

An ab workout keep the muscles. You can’t expect results without doing the work. The more work you put in over a short amount of time the faster you’ll see the results.

Take at least 1 day of rest a week from working out your abs. Working out stretches your muscle and as you rest, eat protein which feeds your muscles.

Laugh Hard
Have you ever had a hearty laugh that you can feel from your “soul”?
Well, every time you laugh you are using those abs, it’s good to use your abs. Let your abs know how much you care by laughing. People with nice abs have the best laughs.

Speak Loud
Your abs are a new found boldness. When you speak loud, you are using your diaphragm and your abs to push out confidence and strength. But remember not to flaunt your pride. Don’t go to the library and shout, or to the nursery during nap time. There is a time and place for everything.

Good Carbs and Bad Bad Carbs

Today’s topic is carbs. Do you know exactly what a carb (carbohydrate) is? Well here is the definition from my iPhone.

Carbohydrate- any if a large group of organic compounds occurring in foods and living tissues and including sugars, starch, and cellulose. They contain oxygen and hydrogen in the same ratio as water (2:1) and typically can be broken down to release energy in the animal body.

iPones are very useful huh!?! Carbs are molecules in foods that are broken down to give our bodies energy…..oh yeah!

Did you pay attention in biology? I remember this now…

Now to break it down even more. There are good carbs (such as whole wheat, fruit and vegetables) and there are bad carbs (such as sugars, white bread, juice with added sugar, soda, white rice/pasta. All the good stuff!!!)

The difference between the two is that good carbs have fibers and starch that take longer to absorb and digest into your body making you feel full and energized because you haven’t run out of energy yet. Making a daily routine of eating foods from this category prevents chronic diseases.

On the flip side, bad carbs found in the checkout isle of your local grocery store (candy, sodas, and chips) are easily digested and your body quickly absorbs all of the energy from these types of food. Sugar diabetes, heart diseases, high cholesterol, and high blood pressure are just some of the chronic diseases caused by unhealthy eating.

In conclusion, it is very important to pay attention to your carb intake especially after the age of 22 or 23. Your body will love you for making the right eating choices.

Mountain Dew You!

I woke up this morning feeling good because today is my day off. I’m always looking forward to these ” lazy days” because I usually get rest. Then it hit me, I have a nice apartment, nice furniture, and food. God has blessed me and has seen my hard work so even when I get a day off, it’s not a day to be complacent, it’s a day to reflect and improve. The things you want in life come by hard work prayer and believing you can have what you want. This life is yours to live so don’t waste time doing nothing. I still have to work out and I still have plenty of time to relax later. Get up, stay active to prevent boredom and a wandering unfocused mind. The minute you don’t use is the one you can’t get back. Not only is the next moment important, but it could change the rest of your life. Do you! Never back down, encourage positivity, succeed, Excel.
